Project sputter machine 1 - plasma function test performed
ChromoGenics very important project with the new sputter factory proceeds according to plan. This week a milestone was reached when the plasma function test was performed. Plasma particles are a critical part of the sputtering process. With the positive result of the test, we can conclude that the machines are in operational condition. Next step is a series of updates needed to produce high quality electrochromic foil. The goal of being able to start sharp production during Q2 remains.

ChromoGenics new sputter machine
ChromoGenics is investing heavily approximately SEK 80 million in a new factory in Uppsala. Installation and start-up will take place during the autumn of 2019 and the factory is expected to be operational during the first quarter of 2020.
The factory, which is unique in its kind, for northern Europe is estimated to have about 10 employees and the capacity will be over 500 000 square meters per year of electrochromic foil when the factory is fully operational.
