Project sputter machine 1 will soon reach its operative status

ChromoGenic’s very important project with the new sputter factory proceeds according to plan. This week a milestone was reached when the machine was powered, all computer systems were started and the machine was vacuum pumped.

What´s happening next at the sputter factory?

Shortly, a series of updates will be launched aimed at providing the machine with the special complementary equipment needed to produce high quality electrochromic foil. The goal of being able to start sharp production during Q2 remains.

ChromoGenics is investing for the future

ChromoGenics is investing heavily approximately SEK 80 million in a new factory in Uppsala. Installation and start-up will take place during the autumn of 2019 and the factory is expected to be operational during the first quarter of 2020.

The factory, which is unique in its kind, for northern Europe is estimated to have about 10 employees and the capacity will be over 500 000 square meters per year of electrochromic foil when the factory is fully operational.
