The new factory - ignition sequence started

The new year is only on its fourth week and the establish process of our new sputter factory is in full progress. The ignition sequence was initiated yesterday for the sputter machines to get powered and everything went according to plan. After this, upgrades and process development remain before the sputter production line is put into operation.

ChromoGenics new sputter factory

ChromoGenics is investing heavily approximately SEK 80 million in a new factory in Uppsala. Installation and start-up will take place during the autumn of 2019 and the factory is expected to be operational during the first quarter of 2020.

The factory, which is unique in its kind, for northern Europe is estimated to have about 10 employees and the capacity will be over 500 000 square meters per year of electrochromic foil when the factory is fully operational.
