ChromoGenics is one of four that are nominated for Glasspriset 2021 in Norway as we delivered ConverLight® Dynamic and ConverLight® Energy to the project Ticon in Norway. Glasspriset is an honorary prize for exemplary glass architecture established by the Glass and Facade Association in Norway and the editorial staff of the association’s magazine Glass & Fasade. The prize is awarded to architects, engineers, companies or organizations.
ChromoGenics products contributes to energy savings
Our products have contributed to major energy savings. By combining ChromoGenics technology in ConverLight® Dynamic with colored solar panels for facades from ConverLight® Energy, the Ticon project did a retrofit project that saved more than 85% of the energy consumption in the building without affecting the architecture. ConverLight® Dynamic blocks up to 90% of the heat transmission into the building. It insulates as good as a wall and still maintains 100% access to daylight and outside view.
The purpose of the award is to promote the use of glass in Norwegian architecture in a unique architectural or technical way, as an artistic tool, where the functional properties of glass provide significant benefits to the building or construction, or in new ways that benefits the society, the environment or for individuals.
